Water-Breather

In between the salty pier planks
a water-breather eats a pest.

Unless it satisfies its pallette,
shall it encounter this abhorred route,
its rage will grow, its rage will show
the seams of abhorred action.

The earth breathes salty, the pattern of fear
a madness sets in on the closest held dear.
The dreams of the sea drop fast like soap,
a new affect remembers little of hope.

Pulsing through each vein, each artery, each cell--
the water breather exhales
from the trappings of hell.

Its rage, as it grows, deep-
sleeps, sleeping, waking, walking soon...

a water-breather eats a pest.
