Mars Proudly

fattening up the beach
the beach is fatter
plattering up the pling
the play is phatter
atter batter, bratter brattle
satter sadder saucer sit down for tea
back in the knee-time, caps are free
jumpin jehosephat that dwarf strangled the other
now he's a ghost bruised blue neck down
feckless crown a man visits like a lunch inspector
he inspects the lunch and laughs like a bro
hid undulating throat resonates like a crow in a moat
hid underneath the boat and scared the children till they began to question
they selves shrivel like raisin men and women
no longer children, no longer children
the dark side surrounds them and they know they must be good
the dwarf eats his food alone, but he doesn't want somebody
in fact, it would quite ruin the occasion
he drinks his own blood, he eats his gnarled flesh
and the hellfire spurts up like weak waterguns
plastic parts and plastic people preserved till the end of time
with guts of nurdles and butts of circular bites from spiders
butts singed and stumped out on their foreheads like ashtrays at Saint Peter's
the cold blows and the wind grows taught like a tickling uncle tickling children
the boat rocks and the kids cry but uncle ben's got rice for them
it cheers them up, it cheers them up, i swear!
they aren't children anywhere, their calm eyes delight in nothing
and they build and build and use and shield themselves from fear
desires always a butt's reach away, but not willing to grab it with sad cheeks
o it's not fair, it's not fair, a new school for dung children
teach them how to use their asses and watch how mystery fills them
back up to the top, like an overflowing toilet
proud to fart
prouder to smell it
